Extending the Longrain service and brand

Shortgrain is a canteen
 and shop serving lunch in
the basement of a Surry Hills warehouse. They needed a brand identity to complement the modern Thai restaurant’s sophistication, while staying true to its unique urban appeal.

The challenge

The identity had to reflect Shortgrain’s unique offering in the market and align with the other restaurant in the family, Longrain.

Our approach

We gave the new canteen and shop a selection of ink stamps so that they could easily brand bags, menus and other apparel cost-effectively. We also developed a condensed and shortened typeface for their suite of collateral.

The result

Shortgrain has its own brand identity that appeals directly to its target market.
